Ready for School

Just doing some hanging out with Daddy! We found it very funny that Adam's 17 inch laptop wouldn't fit into the backpack, however Charlie did:) He is such a peanut! At his 9 month checkup he weighed 16 pounds and 11 ounces (10-15th percentile), he was 27 1/2 inches long (5th percentile), and his head was in the 2nd percentile. He is getting so big (to us). It is so hard to believe that his first birthday is just a couple months away:( I love watching him grow, learn, and have fun playing, but I certainly have days where I miss my little tiny baby. This mama is ready for Charlie to have a sister!! Hee hee... Don't tell Daddy.

Who Says Winter Can't be Fun?

As an ex-preschool teacher my mind is full of fun filled indoor activities that I can't wait for Charlie to partake in. Though it may be a while before he can do most of them, since he is in the "eat everything" phase, I still have a few tricks up my sleeve. Our most recent adventure was sensory. This included whipped cream and jell-o cups. Charlie loved it! Not only was it fun to squish and spread around, the occasional bites were delicious. I have to say my preschool background makes for a pretty fortunate kid. There is no amount of fun that isn't worth the mess. I know a big mess is a direct indication of learning and having fun! So go ahead Charlie, play, learn, have fun, and make a mess. Mama will always be around to vacuum, mop, scrub walls, or give impromptu sink baths. It is totally every screech of laughter and every giggle you make, and if it turns out to be true that children are the product of their environment, well then, you may be messy, but you will always be fun!

Little Stinker

Charlie is 9 1/2 months old and is cruising everywhere lately! I turn around for 2 seconds and he is gone. His favorite place to be is the bathroom, more specifically he likes to play in the toilet, gross! Yesterday he made his way into our bedroom, and into our closet. I found him playing with my clothes and hangers. Monday he climbed onto the shelf where we keep our pots. While home with daddy he climbed into the cupboard, and also managed to open the baking drawer and help himself to a few chocolate chips:) naughty baby! Needless to say we are a busy little family, and Charlie definitely keeps us on our toes! Sometimes he even helps out. Just last week I found him in the kitchen wiping the cupboards. It was so cute. I love watching him learn and figure things out. He is just absorbing so much every day! Smart little cookie:)

Alright... There were a few errors there. I'm not sure what happened with the title and the pictures are a bit large, but I think I got it! Yeah!

Finally... There's an app for that!

I have finally found an app to make life so much easier! I can now officially blog from my phone... Now I just need to play around for a bit and learn how to use it. :)
